Onspek Company is a general contractor in Waukee, Iowa, building custom decks, pergolas, pavilions and sheds — plus the landscaping and lighting that finish the job.

One crew for the whole backyard — from the first post hole to the last landscape light.
Custom wood and low-maintenance composite decks, including large wraparound builds, Trex composite decking in Toasted Sand, and TimberTech PVC decking with aluminum railing — sized for how you actually live outside.
Shade structures and covered outdoor rooms that give a deck or patio a center of gravity — built heavy, built square, built for Iowa weather.
Storage and garden sheds built on site and finished to match your home, not dropped off a trailer — with the landscaping around them handled too.
Plantings, beds and outdoor lighting that make the new build look finished — and keep the space usable after the sun goes down.
Underground utility lines installed as part of your project — run below the surface, tucked out of sight, so the finished work above it stays clean.
Three of the builds we shared this fall — photos from the jobs below, and the full story on our Facebook page.

An old farmhouse moved onto a new basement needed a wraparound deck to match — room for coffee in the morning, a cold one at night, and countryside views all the way around.

Low maintenance Trex composite decking in Toasted Sand, finished with black aluminum railing — a warm, sandy-brown deck that never needs staining or sealing.

Close to 600 square feet of concrete patio poured under the raised TimberTech PVC deck — a durable, low-maintenance outdoor living space built to withstand Iowa's climate with a clean, modern look.
